Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who served as the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017 and 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001, when she was working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until the year 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as the press secretary for Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. The appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House. However on May 30th the 30th of May, 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was appointed communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end in 2015.
