Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. She is most famous for her character as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
